Unfortunately, the time I have to spend on the XP-Tips website is quite limited due to a range of other commitments. Therefore, I have decided to close the Forum so that I can concentrate my available time on the main XP-Tips website.

However, you can still contact me via the Contact Form on the XP-Tips site. Or you can add comments in this blog.

I was quite pleased that the XP-Tips site gained a Google Page Rank of 4 during the last update. I got PR sooner than I thought!

Yes, I realize that this will be of close to zero interest to many web surfers..lol. However, a lot of webmaster type people like me take such matters seriously....probably far too seriously (grin).

The major search engines have now indexed all the pages on the XP-Tips Site, which is good news for me. It can sometimes be difficult to get a new website to be picked up by the search engines, so I’m quite pleased.

With regard to Google, I think the Google Sitemaps feature is a boon for new websites.

I have now added a discussion forum to the site. The forum will allow site visitors to ask questions about the tips featured on the site as well as offer tips of their own.

In order to control spammers, registration is required in order to post messages. However, registration is completely free!

xp-tips.com - New Computer Tips Site

xp-tips.com is a brand new project that I have just launched. At the moment, the site is still in the early days of creation. The main top-level pages are now up and are being tested. Over the next few days, I will begin adding the first tips to the site. I’m quite excited about this new site! XP-Tips is my second serious website, the other being Hoax-Slayer. My aim is to keep the new site lean, quick loading, and tightly focused. No bells and whistles here (grin).

The Microsoft Windows XP Operating System is highly configurable. There are a great many ways to enhance and personalize your computing experience. The computer tips and tweaks to be included on XP-Tips should help users get the most out of Windows XP.

This blog will mainly serve as a "what's new" page. The majority of blog posts will simply inform interested visitors of new pages added to the site.
